R2B Forum Series

This is a forum for exchange about how to facilitate usefulness of research outcomes. We meet regularly (online mode).

There is a chain of links: communication-dissemination-transfer of knowledge-impact-exploitation. From information to something useful. The ultimate question which always comes: how will it make business. If something is not profitable, then it will not come to a market. No matter what great technology it is.

There are several ways to make usefulness. Every researcher does not have to be an entrepreneur to make business. Sharing knowledge and innovation is also a way to make usefulness.

There are no known guidelines. Each case is unique, each person is unique. What we can do is to know more, have more examples and then make our own decision

The question that must have a realistic motivation

How will it make business?

The meetings are hosted by Dr. Mikael Syväjärvi. He will share from his own experiences in silicon carbide, especially those which are related to close space PVT. He will also share a concept pilot from the EIC Pathfinder project rePowerSiC that introduces a business model that create values for business and sustainability from shared data and digitalization. That model (pilot at GlobalSiC) can be applied to any deeptech case and EU project to make more usefulness from research.
